Our eyelashes, just like the hairs on our bodies, are on a cycle.
-Anagen phase is the growth phase; the lashes are actively growing.
-Catagen phase is the transition phase; the lashes stops growing and the hair follicle shrinks.
-Telogen phase is the resting phase; it can last more than 100 days before the eyelash falls out and a new one begins to grow .
Each individual eyelash is in its own growing cycle.
An average eye has between 90-120 lashes and each eye naturally sheds between 2-5 lashes per day on average.
1 week, that's an average of 21 lost lashes,
2 weeks, an average of 42 lost lashes
3 weeks, an average of 63 lost lashes.
The fullness of your extensions depends on the individuals natural lashes. It is recommended that you schedule a lash fill every 2-3 weeks to maintain a full look. Eyelash extensions require maintenance, but for those who can't live without it, knows it is so worth it!
